Ethics Talk Live: Ethical Resilience & Supply Chains in a Fragmented World
DLA Piper Finland and The Nordic Business Ethics Initiative invite you to a live discussion on how organisations can uphold ethical resilience in an increasingly uncertain and complex world.
Geopolitical tensions, changing trade routes, and fast moving regulation are reshaping how companies operate across borders. Supply and value chains are becoming longer and more global, often extending well beyond a company’s direct control. At the same time, expectations for responsible behaviour and transparency continue to rise, from regulators, customers, investors, and society at large.
This session looks at how organisations can make sound ethical decisions across their value chains and maintain trust, integrity, and accountability even when conditions are unclear. We will discuss what an ethical supply chain means today, and how companies can operate responsibly in situations where there are no easy or perfect answers.
With two expert guest speakers who have extensive experience with global value chains, third party relationships, and regulatory requirements, the discussion will focus on real world challenges rather than theory.
We will explore:
How organisations can act responsibly when rules, norms, and expectations vary across markets
What an ethical value chain looks like in practice, and where risks most often arise
How companies can build trustworthy supply chains and manage third party risks across borders – and what is reasonable in a world that is rarely black and white
How new and overlapping regulations affect everyday business decisions
Whether the Nordic approach to business ethics offers guidance in a fragmented global environment
This session offers practical insights for leaders, legal and compliance professionals, and anyone involved in managing suppliers, partners, or third parties – at a time when ethical choices are increasingly linked to long term business resilience.
